It will be a hard call, but I will bet my life savings on “The Lion!! People argue that the lion is lazy; the male sleeps while the female does the hunting. This is wrong, very wrong. The male lion spends his entire life fighting. They fight to be the head of the pride, the younger males fight for dominance, they fight and kill there prey when they are not with the pride. Another mistake people make is to compare a domesticated lion to a tiger…. The Male lion will fight to the death whereas the Tiger won’t, the tiger has size, the lion has tact. The only documented un-doctored case of a real fight was the Gir forest showdown and the Lion killed the Tiger. So please understand the Lion has always and will continue to be the King of beast

NB: write me and I will send you the video.

Tiger
At birth, a tiger cub weighs 1 - 1.5 kilograms (2.2 -

3.5 pounds). Siberian Males will reach a weight of 190 -

306 kilograms (419 - 675 pounds) and a length of 2.75 -

3.65 meters (9 - 12 feet), head to tip of tail. Siberian

Females will reach a weight of 100 - 167 kilograms (221

- 368 pounds). The heaviest Siberian tiger on record

weighed almost 386 kilograms (850 pounds).

Lion

weight: male = 330 - 550 pounds, female = 260 - 400

pounds
length: male = 5.5 - 8 feet, female = 5 - 6 feet
Approximate life span is 13 - 30 years.

grizzly bear

Head/Tail Length: 9'
Shoulder Height: 3-4'
Weight: 300-850 lbs.

I am mentioning the bear to give an idea how big the

siberian tiger is compareed to a grizzly bear. In most

cases the tiger is bigger length wise, and weight wise

the tiger is about the same. I would bet all my money on

a siberian tiger winning against a lion or even a bear

for just the size alone. The tiger is known to be more

aggressive than a lion or bear. More importantly, the

tiger knows how to kill with precision.(For example:

biting the juggler vein in the neck). The lion has the

lioness hunt for them in packs. The bear just swats and

bites anywhere in slow movements compare to the fast

twitching tiger.

I am an ethologist , who studies canidae behavior, but my felidae friends assure me that there is only tiger victories to report in documented cases. These are captured cats, as in the wild they would have trouble meeting. I have answered this very question many times and if the answer ever changes it will be sup rising news, as the tiger is significantly larger than the lion, on average. You can forget about the mane protecting the lion in a fight. This is an old saw that has been long refuted. The mane is a sexual selection marker. Think about it; would all the hair in the world protect you from a tigers attack?

As somewhat of an expert on animals, I can honestly say that a LIGER would actually beat a Lion or a Tiger.

Lion

the head of the lion is considerably bigger making it harder for him to maneuver. Tigers are more flexable and can reach places that are hard to get to. A lion can take more puch but in the long run the tiger would own the lion.

I pretty much just BSed that entire thing

No expert, but here is my view of Tiger for the win.

Lion hunt by pack and formation.
Tiger hunts alone.

Tiger is biggest in the cat family. Even bigger than lion.

Tiger. Because male lions are lazy and slow. However, they might be evenly matched if it were female/female.
