Ok here my problem. I think I am in love with my best friend of 12 yrs. about 6 yrs. ago he moved but now we are in high school and I forgot how wonderful he is! and I can NOT stop thinking about him. he has seen me at my worse but I can't get dressed in the morning without thinking what he will think about it. Help me. what should I do should I tell him and risk ruining the greatest thing in my life or just go on living like this?

Go for it! I've been in this situation and went for it. We didn't exactly work out on a "romantic level" in the end, but our friendship is still VERY strong and I don't have to go through the rest of my life thinking about "what might have been".

Just tell him ahead of time something like this....

Ok.. I know we've been friends for years and you are really special to me. I feel like my feelings are changing and growing stronger, and I felt like I should let you know that. Losing your friendship would hurt me greatly, but I can't live a lie and I have to let you know what I'm feeling right now. Do you think we could "explore the possibility of more"?

So you've known him for 12 years? Not bad. I'd say you're in love with him and that you miss him. Tell him how you truly feel, and ask him to return. You will not ruin the friendship, if he cares about you. Stop being so presumptious and fearful.

Hey i am in the same sitution sort of, you cannot go on living tha way, TELL him, if it ruins your friendship then he wasn't that great of a friend in the first place. But be sure to do it casually and smoothly. You might want to ask one of his friends to ask him that would definatly be an indirect way! but follow your heart wat do you think he might say?

Always take risks or you will be left wondering what could have been.
