Hitchhike... although if you're looking for a safe and reliable method you can check amtrack and greyhound for deals.... that is if you can't get a group of friends to carpool and split the cost.

Carly 433, the cheapest way might be by bus, with the price of gas and all. By car its about a 7 or 8 hour trip through Canada.
