Every Halloween she stands on her porch and yells at the trick-or-treaters passing by. She tells them that they're going to hell. She rambles on about how her family is superior because they're super religious.

I am a Christian. If she were my neighbor, this is what I would do:
1. I would first go to her and admonish her to stop being offensive to the Goodness & Love of God and remind her of the Bible. Collosians 3:12-14 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
2. If she repented, all is well and I would forgive her. If not, I would gather 1 or 2 other neighbors, and have all of us TOGETHER go talk to her about HER SIN of judging others.
Luke 6:35-37
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 37Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

3. If she did not listen & repent, then I would ask her what church she went to and I personally would go to her pastor with the whole story AND remind Him of the Word of God. 18:15
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

This woman's religion is not true Christianity. Where is the Love?
Sorry for the length, had to answer the question in steps.

She's lonely? Call your local church of holly rollers & have them join in the festivites. She'll be so busy with testimonials, that she'll have less time to yell at everyone. You need some help with this & you probably aren't qualified to understand her DEPTH of perception on the "evil" night. Her "family" means something other than what you are thinking. You're as confused as she is on this subject! She most likely has the gift/curse of sight & sees things that you & others cannot see. Be sincere or just leave her alone. It's only once a year & it's her yard & her beliefs. You have no idea what this poor woman is going through, & neither do I, but I can guess by what you say, that she is "protecting" the children from the negative spirits that come a-callin' on all hallows eve! Relax!

This is rich LOL.

Why would you want to do something about this woman? I think that's hilarious LOL One night a year she shouts her religious beliefs to anyone within earshot, standing in her own yard, and you want to do something about it??

Let the old biddy ramble in her imaginary world where she lives, and you try to make sure you stay glued in reality, and not join her on the porch next year.

Freedom of speech and religion. She has that right.

Of course, you have the right to ignore her and take comfort that according to the book Dante's Inferno, there is a level of hell for people such as her that think they are better than others due to their religious beliefs. It gives me great comfort. . .

Just tell everyone to yell back at her, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but your idle threats do not". And then add, "if you don't play nice, Santa will not be visiting you this year."

That will give her something to think about. THEN if she is still at it, throw a Bible at her.

No, it's her property. If she becomes a serious nuisance or seriously harrasses youngsters then maybe something could be done. She sounds mentally ill to me.

lol...leave her be. Doing that probably helps her in therapeutic ways.

As long as she isn't throwing lightning bolts at the kids.
