sometimes i'm sorry just doesn't cut it.you have to show her with your actions that you are no longer the person that abused her.it could take a long time for her to trust you again. she may eventually forgive you but she will probably never forget.abuse, either physical or mental is inexcusable and probably means you have some issues within yourself that you need to deal with. good luck

I have never heard of anyone physically abusing a woman stop. He will always say he's sorry for being mean and then will turn around and do it again. You will never be able to do anything right as far as he is concerned. When he's done with you, you will have no self-esteem.
Please go to your local battered women's shelter. Their stories will make you think twice, I hope.

I was and still am in an abusive marriage... It took 22yrs....
to get to this point...... to where I said I have had
enough.......the physical damage thank god the kids didn't
see it...they were younger....... The verbal they still hear.....
they are 17 and 20 yrs. old...... and don't have
to live like that....... I just realized it too........A long
time forgotten...have records of nose being broke,
arm, it's not worth all that.....

He begins by showing himself he is very sorry. Get educated on how you are part of a cycle. Get outside help on how to address this cycle. Change begins with self.
The rest is just feelings and words which in the end beome repeated empty promises and feelings. :(

Fix her a great candle light dinner and run her a bubble bath for after dinner ,
then comes the real reward or the I'm sorry baby .
