NO I AM NOT GOING THROUGH COLLEDGE AND I HAVE BEEN "STRIPPING " FOR 3 AND A HALF YEARS. I HAVE 2 KIDS I SUPPORT AND I MAKE DAMN GOOD MONEY.THATS WHY MOST WOMEN KEEP ON THE MONEY IS SO GOOD

Hmmm I would have to go with myth on this one. Not like stripping is the only way to pay for college. And some just need to do the math, if you have been strippin for 7 years then you've likely made enough to pay for college already. I think its more fair to say that strippers are stripping the pay the bills.

PS -None of the strippers that I knew were in college.

Some stsrip for college, some are single moms who strip for more money for less days work so they can be with their kids more. Most if not all have no self esteem or were abused, sexually abused, neglected when children or later by a bf or husband.Many are intelligent women but don't feel they are worthy to work in a good job due to the lack of self-etsteem.Many are still looking for the love of their father that they never had by wanting men's approval. It is so sad that they are abused as kids and then continue the abuse by associating with the sicko men that attend those establishments.Also some start out to strip for college money but get hooked up in the drug and sex world and either get hooked on the lifestyle or die from it.

Yes, there are many strippers who work as exotic dancers to pay their way through college. It can be a quite lucrative field - there are some high end strip clubs here in New York City where the girls can make almost $ 1,000 a night in tips on the weekends.

At the lower end strip clubs, the girls make less than that - around $ 150-200 a night (or as much as they'd make in tips if they were a server at a nice restaurant)

People strip for all sorts of reasons. Some like the attention, others love the money, others need it for college or being a single family parent and needing to survive. There's tons of reasons, It wouldn't be correct to put it under an absolute as if that would be the only reason why it would occur.

Myth. I have known a fair amount of strippers in my day, and none of them did it to "pay for college." I have also been around academia forever, and have met very few girls who stripped to "pay for college."

No woman who strips HAS to do it. She WANTS to do it. Don't believe the sad sack stories about women who are FORCED to strip. It's jst not true.

Unless someone can quote an accurate, believable survey which shows real numbers for comparison, any other response you get here will be the result of extreme prejuduce one way or the other.

Besides, what difference could it possibly make? This is America. They have the right to earn their money, and what they do with it - if legal - is strictly their business.

There are 2 types or Strippers. The ones that strip for drugs and the ones that strip for the money. Most of the girls that strip for money are in college or med school.

I think you would have to survey these women who do this for a living to find out their reasons. I believe some do get into this line of work for that reason and some for other reasons. Not something i personally would do. God bless

I've dated three, married one, and know several others. Not one of 'em is doing it to pay for college, lol. They're doing it because it pays well and it's the easiest money they can make. And - they have a heck of a lot of fun doing it!
