when it comes to cocktail dresses its always best to wear strappy shoes to empasize your beautiful legs. the slimmer the straps the better. since you mentioned that you have an off whilte dress, silver and gold will be the best colors that you can match with your wardrobe. but make sure also that the most important thing about outfits is not to match your clothes with your footwear, it is best that you match both your bag (clutch bag or wrist bags will be a good suggestion) and you footwear, the more identical they are in color and design the better it looks like. the color of your wardobe is nuetral already so it will not be that much hassle to pair it with the perfect pair of shoes. another thing, if you decide to choose a strappy stilleto make sure that the footwear is not that big nor small for your feet. the slimmer the heels the better. good luck on you affair!

A strappy sandal in a soft gold color is a great choice. If the dress will show your feet, rhinestone details on the shoe would look great also. Remember Wizard of Oz? Dorothy in the cute dress, but with the blazing shoes...!?!?

Ballet type are often good when you are tall. They even make some beaded slippers that are that champagne color that look like real shoes but are actually soooo comfortable.

I would go to payless and get some dyeables, they would make sure to match your dress and not take away from it.
Dyeables aren't too pricey either.

dark brown or same colored high heels with open toes. SOO HOT! my mom won't let me wear sandals to church b/c she says toes are sexy! so yes.
