Why did the people start to divert from paganism and start practicing new relegions such as Islam or Zoroastianism?

through wars & conquests, trade & travel, that is how religions spread in antiquity... this is pretty vague, as is your question.

in order to answer this question thoroughly, i suggest asking about a specific country... and correct times...

By the 2nd century A.D., or probably more so in the 3rd, social changes were beginning to take place. The Roman Empire was starting to feel the early stages of the population movements bringing the various "barbarian" peoples to the outer Roman provinces. The Roman government and military were at the beginning of a gradual decline into chaos. The common people began to look for new sources of strength and many found it in a new religion that was beginning to take hold: Christianity.

Zoroastrianism was a religion practiced mainly in ancient Persia, and didn't have significant contact with Christianity.

The religion of Islam didn't begin until about 700 A.D.

basically nature was considered as the religion but later as the human crisis of various form occured people slowly dominated each other on the name of improper religion....so thr was sudden need for correct measure to be taken which the people would believe tht lead to the rise of new religion

When they stopped believing in their priests and what they thought were their gods. Maybe this is now why more Christians are turning away from theirs as they become better educated and able to think for themselves??
