my island is populated with people who seem to think that I have the answers to all their problems
So, no man is an island all to himself because if others pass by your island and see you on it and you are doing good they will want to come and live with you and ask you questions about how well you are doing

I think we start out as "our own island" so to speak and the world around us influences us in many ways.........soooo, although we are all very different......we are influenced by so many things...people, our environment, but then again some people are so ignorant they don't even knows what goes on outside "their world".......I'd say neither....somewhere in between.....we are definitely not all the same.......hence politics, the war, this forum for instance....makes it more interesting.

i think most people are waaayyy more alike then they realize. So much of ourselves comes from how we are raised and what we are exposed to. Deep down our fears and desires and decision making skills are very much the same.
