Don't go nuts. Instead, try to think of mean replies. When someone tells you something she's said, say "Wow, someone sounds bitter." Or "Wait, WHO said that? Who's that? I don't even know her." If someone goads you for a response, say "I'm sorry but I simply cannot stoop to that level." Etc.

You have two problems, one you've got an ex who, for what ever reason wants you back, and that you are not really over, despite whatever reason you broke up for. The second is that you have a girl who loves you, and clearly thinks that you love her, who you probably started a relationship with very quickly after the break up because you didn't like being single. As I see it, let this poor girl go, she probably deserves better than you anyway, at least a guy who's going to love her for the proper reasons, and not as some make weight because you were lonely. Ignore it. Seems like a hard task, but it's not. Rumors are around about everyone, It's up to you and your true friends wether to believe them or not. You can't stop the cycle of rumors, all you can do is add to them which makes you look just as bad as her. Don't let yourself get caught up in them cause they will take over your mind. Just be cool as if it dosen't bother you. Then she'll won't have any negativity to feed off of and more than likely, she'll stop.

With all respect, I do not wish to be rude either but you got to show them to respect you and tell them to stop bothering you. It's not worth it. I know what you are going to. I had a friend for 3 years and when we enter the 8th grade I notice she used me, she told everyone my secrets when I trusted her! So I told her our friendship was over and she continue to be a b-i-t-c-h* so I knew I couldn't stand there doing nothing. I told her on her face to better stop because I did not wanted any fights. I was about to slap her face but I did not to get in trouble.
ALTHOUGH, I few years back I did slap my ex friend's face for been such a little b-i-t-c-h*
SO what I suggest it to tell them to stop bother you. Or you will have to enter in action girl, everyone has the right to defend themselves just like you do.
Good luck =)

simple. just tell these people that help spread her toxic information you dont want to hear it so change the subject quick like. If they continue to tell you about the rumors, then they are toxic for you as well. Stay away from them until they hear you loud and clear and respect you. :) You do matter.

Try a restrainig order, but if you're in HS, you'll probably have to haul her into the principles office and accuse her of being a bully.

That's the worst situation! believe me, i feel for you. If your friends are true friends they will not believe what she says, and will rush to your defense. If someone comes to you with a lie, tell to them that she is not your friend and for some reason the physco is obessed with you.
