I need to write a persuasive speech about a problem in the U.S.
I need to also figure out why the problem is important, what the most important cause of the problem is, and find a solution (a public policy) in which the problem can be reduced.
I can figure out the last part of my question, I just really need some topic suggestions.

Read the front page of any newspaper or the editorial page and you should easily get a lot of ideas about major problems facing the US today.

why not health care it is a social problem and our conservative government has yet to discuss it yet alone how to fix it. I think it is a great topic
