They are actually VERY accurate. They are about 99.9% accurate and they are all the same. Even generic.

To see how all the brands of tests are rated go to http://www.peeonastick.com

What's the best test to use? This seems to change periodically! Some tests are well-liked and then a "bad batch" comes out, and some tests are known for being duds but then switch manufacturers and redeem themselves. See the HPT Overview section for current comments on each brand.

If you are trying to detect a pregnancy 13 DPO or earlier, you probably want to use a more sensitive brand. Anything that detects 25 mIU/mL of hCG (English: anything that detects a tiny bit of pregnancy hormone) is good for early testing. See the HPT Overview section to see which tests are most sensitive and the HPT Showdown for a real-life comparison of 15 brands.

Surprisingly, cheap tests purchased at dollar stores or on the Internet are often more sensitive and reliable than expensive store brands. HPT's are like soda: very cheap to make, and marked up quite a bit for retail.

Good luck

Actually all the ones that you find in the pharmacy these days are all very accurate!! They say on the box their percentage of accuracy, but if you're still an unbeliever, just buy two different kinds, and use 'em all up.. you'll soon know if you are pregnant or not (I've used pregnancy tests MILLIONS of times, and only once did one not work -- but it didn't give me a wrong answer.. it just didn't react with my urine -- giving no result in the 'test' window).

~Best of luck~

My favorites are First Response and e.p.t, but they will all work. The first one I took was generic and it was right and at that time I was only 3 weeks preg. then I got the e.p.t. and it confirmed, so I went to see my dr.
