when i turn off the power for my computer my usb mouse stays on. (the optical sensor and lights stay on) it happens with my one computer (soyo mobo) but not on my other one (asus). what can i do without unplugging it all the time. also is it bad to have the mouse on 24/7? thx

Although your computer is OFF it still has power running through the motherboard .... ASUS board are the same only that ASUS (and many other leading brands) stop the power reaching the USB ports when the machine is actually off ... and no it won't hurt your mouse at all .... just possibly annoy you with the light on 24/7

I have 20 computers and all of them have cams hooked to them and when I shut off all the computers 15 of the cam lights remain on
all I do is I shut off the current to the circuit that the computers are pluged into then everything goes out

it wont hurt your mouse, but it does take up a tiny bit opf power, your best bet is tounplug it at night

Strange, but try to reinstall the driver.
