to answer your first question, yes, there was a time that i felt i was unimportant and my existence had no purpose in this world. but that was a long time ago when i hardly knew any better. no matter how small you feel, you always have some purpose to fulfill. for some people. they're lucky enough to discover that reason early on in their lives. for the rest of us, it's a much longer process. but if you just look around, and above all, look within, you're going to find it somehow...

to answer your second question, yes, as well, i feel like there has to be something more to life than this. just 2 fridays ago, i went to a club with a bunch of friends. everybody seemed to be having fun but me. as i looked around all these people getting either wasted, drunk, or just gyrating their bodies with other people they've never met before, i couldn't stop thinking, "somewhere on the other side of the world, a person my age is dying of starvation or being hit by stray bullets from both sides of the fence and yet here i am in a smoky room filled with strangers and doing what?" i don't know why it felt like that but once i thought about it all the more, there was only one thing left to do - leave. and so i did. and walking to the train, i just kept contemplating about how there has to be more to life than just that... and like you, i'm still figuring it out ;)

Most of my life I have felt unimportant. Many times I have tried suicide. You do have to remember though that even though you don't think so, you are important to somebody. It wasn't until I had my son that I felt that way. Have you tried therapy..There is more to life than I think what you are living. Don't isolate yourself. Always be with somebody. If you knew how much I went to the store even when I didn't need to just so I wouldn't kill myself. I know you are feeling and so do a lot of people. Don't give up. Know that you are special to someone..me and I don't know you.
