Bmw=very costly to maintain

Lexus=toyota=inexpensive to maintain but still luxury

personally id say neither..and go for an MDX/Pilot from Acura/Honda. there much much safer and relaible

although the New lincoln Navigator are pretty damn sweet now. (my husband works for a Ford/lincoln dealer)

I'm assuming you mean the '07 X5. Definitely the one to go for. 3rd row seat option, first vehicle in its class w/standard run flats, active ventilated seats, technology package,BMW feel, full maintenance

BMW all the way! Safety? Even the engine is designed to come apart in a violent head on crash, so that it won't come through the firewall and land in your lap! Fredue am farhen (probably spelt wrong) German for: joy in driving!
