most ppl on drugs will not just stop because of threats... IF you are willing to go the distance there are things you can do, but are you willing to make the sacrifices ??????? like having this person VERY angry or even hating you for stepping into what he will think is his business ??? or maybe retribution for your actions, like denying his problem and calling attention to YOU ? all kinds of things can and will happen at the point of intervention !!! if you start this, YOU have to be willing to go the distance !!! can you ??? if you are then , you have to be prepared for action, armed and ready... find a drug clinic, hospital, councler or other, that you can get as much info on drug addiction as you can, read, study, talk to ppl !!!!! THEN follow the guidelines suggested.... get help and do NOT confront or try this on your own... good luck and God be with you....... God bless

If he is really your friend then he would listen to what you say and value your opinion. Tell him you want him to go to just one AA meeting and that you'll go with him so he can see the wrong path that he's on. What kind of drug is he on? You could show him info off the web of what it will do to him and ways of helping him overcome it. Most of the time if people aren't ready to stop then they won't. They have to accept that they have a problem and be ready to face it.

Drugs like alcohol are addicting. NA is specifically dedicated to people who have a drug problem. I suggest that you familiarize yourself with 12 step programs such as AA, an and Alon.
NO ONE CAN FORCE SOMEONE TO STOP DOING DRUGS OR ALCOHOL they have to do their last drug and drink their last drink. Perhaps you and your friends family might try an intervention with health care professionals.

He has to want to quit in order to do so. You need to inform his family of this if they dont already know.
