hey i loved the sly series too! unfortunatly i never got to play the first game tho.
my tops:
God of War: honestly, this game is arguablly the best action adventure game to date! the only reasons it isn't the best, is that nothing is perfect, + it's gonna have a superior sequel;GOW2 ;)
Kingdom Hearts II: don't listen to anyone who tells u this game is childish, those are the ones who havn't even played it to judge. it's a top notch action adventure game but i also advice checking out it's prequel; Kingdom Hearts so u can get used to the system
Prince of Persia series: run on walls, fluid controls, escape death by inches, slow down/rewind time, easy-to-master-gameplay....what else is there in a good action adventure game?
u also might wanna get dragon ball Z 3: budokai for good 2-player gameplay, and "marvel ultimate alliance" to control over 20+ marvel superheroes, not to mention any of the "JAK" series since u enjoyed CRASH (same developer)

My fave PS2 games are:
1. God of War (best game ever)
2. Final Fantasy X
3. Dark Cloud 2
4. Final Fantasy X-2
5. Shadow of the Colossus
God of War is my favorite because the storyline is amazing (all about Greek mythology), the graphics are great (and VERY gory) and the gameplay is awesome (the controls are right-on)! Terrific game.

I love my racing games.
The need for speed series is pretty good also.

final fantasy 10,if you have not played it I think you should.it story is amazing,the voices,the battles,the music,everything.
final fantasy 12 is coming out tomorrow.I've been waiting 2 years for that game to come out weeeeeeee.

Soul Calibur series even though Soul calibur 3 is the only one I played so far in the soul calibur series...
