I agree with you, how will the violence stop after election? The violence is created bcs we invaded their nation in the name of searching for weapons of mass destruction and freedom to the iraqi people. But wht the iraqis get is their homes destroyed, civilians being killed and raped, their oil being continously sucked and sent to AMerica. Its like we are the real criminals, every1 knows tht we only wanted their oil, once we suck all the oil out, we will leave their nation leaving them in a more chaos and miserable situation. Every time we hear the President or Rumsfield saying tht we will give freedom to the people with a democracy government. How will democracy ever work when the citizen are in majority with low education level, its the same thing like you give a 10 year old kid will full freedom to manage their own home, the result you will see is a total chaos, no education= no experience= total destruction.

Rumsfield is a total confused person, just bcs they are stealing and sucking the iraq's wealth of black gold (oil) he is saying anything tht sounds nice, everyone knows the truth, nothing will work now, iraq will be in a worst situation in the future.

Our soldiers are being killed everyday, whts their fault? is this war really worthy? did our government had full intention to save the people of iraq? i guess not, if our government really did care about people suffering wth dictatorship in this world, why arent we saving people in african countries with harsh dictators? the answer is they dont have any natural resources for us to steal.....

We Americans was once loved and respected, everything is changing after the foolish, worthless wars we created. Wht about the freedom in Afganistan? The opium plantation and production hits biggest records in the history of the world under American security in Afganistan, did we really wanted to save afganistan? or we wanted to enter the Taliban market by increasing the opium production.

Our system and government is going into bad roots, we just hope tht the next government will sort things out for good, if not America will be under constant attacks in form of retaliation from wht we did in the past, present and future.

Yea, just like it was supposed to stop after: the capture of Saddam, the death of Al-Zarqari, the first Iraqi election, the second Iraqi election, Ramadan 2003/2004/2005, the battle of Falluejah, the list goes on. Wake up America -- it has never stopped in the last 2000 years!

The terrorists are violent and demented - but they are not stupid.

Every time the media reports more violence in Iraq, the anti-war opponents in this country start their pissing and moaning - and the terrorists know it.

I honestly believe if the Republicans retain control on capital Hill, it would be a crushing defeat for the terrorists,

The increased violence in Iraq in the month preceding elections in this country is no coincidence.

The terrorists can't defeat the United States on the battle field, but they can divide this country by fueling the fires of the anti war fanatics in this country - and they're the ones who get all the press.

I still strongly believe that this war is one we must win.

I must say he has a point and I believe it will calm down there unless republicans retain control then I think it will escalate. This is how the people in Iraq are trying to get us in the USA to make the right choices next Tuesday

I agree with Rumsfield, but I don't believe it will stop. I hope it lets up. No one knows absolutely what will or will not happen.
Reguardless, so many Americans want this to go away on it's own. We want to 'win' the war but no one is suposed to get hurt. It can't be done and everyone knows that.
My take? As long as we do not have a major event on American soil, we are winning.

Do you actually believe a word Rumsfeld says? Try reading "Fiasco" and/or "State of Denial" and you'll find out why the titles of those books are synonymous with Don Rumsfeld the true architect of screwing up the entire war in Iraq from the start.

The insurgents are doing this to wear us down and if give we up, they will think they won. They probably do blame alot on Bush, also. That's the whole point of this; we can't give up. And if they REALLY DO think another president will make things any different, they better think again. I think that's what alot of us Americans believe, too.

It worked in Spain, they are trying it again. The terrorists watch what the treasonous actions of CNN, MSNBC, and the network news. What they fail to realize is how few people watch that crap.

Are you saying that the terrorists are winning? We can wipe them out in a week. I wish we would.
