Do your kid a favor, if its a boy, give him a boys name, if its a girl give her a girls name. Unisex names suck. Also , on a similair subject, one study i read states that people with made-up versions of names tend to due worse in life than people with standard spellings. Example: Katrina, but spelled Kutrina or Kurtrina. Its just what i read. It did not say anything about completely made up names. I know i didnt answer your question. Just pick a name YOU love, and hopefully one HE/she will not be teased about.
I like James or Jason for boys, for a girl, maybe Jessica, the name i've wanted to name my daughter is Jadzia, my fiance hates it. But only a science fiction fan would get it.

Jayden is a popular "J" name now that is considered unisex. Also Jordan and Jamie.

I like Jeremy and Josh, but those aren't unisex. Peyton is good for boys and girls, but that's not a J. You might be able to find some really unique names at www.behindthename.com. Good luck!
