No, you're not a nerd, it's just that you really got the brains! Keep up the good work. I think being a nerd is having an extreme liking to be perfect- getting straight As and being too studious and know-it-all to the point of neglecting your social life. Even if you excel in school, try to have a good relationship with your family and friends.
