Funny, but reading the answers to many questions here leads me to believe that maybe America doesn't accept the media wisdom that the rout is on. The Republican Congress has proved again that power corrupts, but can the body politic actually believe that the Democrats are any better, or that they stand for anything that a majority of Americans can embrace.

I hope so, this is why, I want to restore a balance of power to the government, checks and balance is the fundamental cause to keep any government body honest. With the democrats owning either house or both it will cause discussion to happen, there will have to be cooperation between the executive branch and the congress in order to pass and sign any legislation and history has proved that the best legislation comes out of compromise. Are the democrats better, no. But the balance will be good for the country.

I doubt very much if the Democrats will win any where near what the polls and media are reporting, if,indeed, they win at all. I personally believe that the Democrats have lost a golden opportunity - the Republicans in power haven't exactly united this country with their policies and agendas.
Unfortunately, a lot of Democrats just can't separate the party from the Michael Moores and Hollywood elite.

No landslide. Maybe won't take either.
But, as you have already heard in previous answers, Dems will whine and call it fixed if we do win. They still want to think they won in 2000.
America will survive either way. We are still 85% conservative; Democrat or Republican.

From recent elections, we have seen that the media can call it wrong even after more than half of the votes are in. Just get out and vote your conscience and pay no attention to early polls.

This is a old Conservative talking point that the other side is not much better. I am not buying, I think the middle class has had enough.

The liberal media always puts a slant on the elections. They want the Dems to win so bad, that they will say anything to make Dems look good, even when its a lie.

If the elections are in the bag, why are there so many close elections? Why is Pelosi no where to be found? Why is it that liberals never run as liberals? Why is it that many Democrats in red states are running as pro life, pro Iraq war, and respecting traditional values?
