Though I don't think this question is really serious, I will give you a serious answer. Yes, you need gloves; the kind that go clear to your shoulder. Cows are pregnancy checked by inserting an arm into the rectum. Some sort of lubrication is needed before insertion. If this is a serious question, you appear to be too ignorant of the procedure to actually perform it. Call a vet and have him/her perform it or you risk injuring the cow and/or calf.

Well, to answer your question.. I don't get MY hand in a cow's butt.
Do I have to wear gloves? Often, as I have Reynaud's (sp) Syndrome.
But my wearing gloves has nothing to do with a cow's butt.

Why would you want to put your hand in it's rectum????? I've heard people breed cows like that but the hand does not go in the butt it goes in the vag*** I am not sure what you want to do. You should explain yourself.
