how to fix a lasko 3 speed fan?

i just bought this fan and i was moving it and it fell now it wont turn on my friend took it apart he said it ran hot wait two hours yeah i did still not working so does anyone has any ideals how to fix it?

The problem could be mechanical rather than electrical if it fell hard enough to have "jambed" up the motor. If it is still "apart" see if you can rotate the blades manually. If not, try to push in or pull out on the fan shaft. you may be able to re-seat the bearings and get it to turn. Just knocking it over should not have caused an electrical problem, unless it was turned on at the time and then quit when it fell.
