No he won't ever be as good. Does he score as easily and as much as Jordan? Yes, but that isn't what made Michael good. Michael could elevate the level of the game; he could make the competition more intense, and break down less intelligent and composed opponents. Michael could make his team mates better by forcing them to reach his level of playing. He was also less selfish and a natural leader. Kobe is a phenominal scorer, Jordan was a phenominal scorer, an excellent defender, and a better competitor.
As Cris said above, MJ had a an excellent side kick in Scottie Pippen (like KB has with Lamar Odom), but so far Kobe can't even make it to the playoffs, and Jordan won six championships. Yeah I know Kobe has been on a team that won some rings, but they weren't his team, they were Shaq's.
