If this not your own pocket's expenses, go to Japan, because it needs more $$$ for the trip, the culture is unique, Japanese people have a lot for you to learn from, food is so good (you see, not every class of people can enjoy their traditional food, and sushi ? beside the steak-house kind is mostly for entertaining).
Agentina is much cheaper to travel, so you can afford to do it by yourself if you wish to go another day. Couture is pretty similar with the rest of Latin America, you can visite Mexico, Belize ... in stead !

There is Skiing/Snowboarding in Japan in January, so if you like those sports go to Japan, but if you want to spend a summer month during the winter, go to Argentina.

Although it's a lot more expensive, goto Japan.
People goto Japan and get healthier because of the food and they lose a lot of weight as well. Also, it's an incredibly interesting place with LOTS of places to go and things to do.
