If someone says they have ADD, chances are that they might not have it because they just think that they have it. So if I say I'm that I'm shy, could I really be whether it's a lot, a little, or does that depend on something else?

You may say anything about yourself, but what you do is more important here. The behaviorist knew that behavior was important, they just did not know why. We now know that you have a suite of developing personality traits; the genes being expressed into the environment; nature via nurture. Personality can change over time. I assume you are very young and are far from your final personality shape, though if you are really shy, do not expect a total change; more of a channeling effect.

Most likely it would depend on your past experiences to the point of where you are as an individual,if you have ADD it would be very hard to focus and the highs and the lows would definatly be prevalent, now shyness is only you being in an uncomfortable situation/place until this becomes familiar and on what type of personality you have.type A or type B

most people are shy because they are scared of being laughed at. get past your shyness by knowing that you are smart and you have worth while things to say, think and feel. If they laugh it may be because you have said something witty and clever and if you didn't it may be because they aren't witty and clever enough to understand what you've said. act not shy and you will be not shy
