I tore all the tendons and ligaments when I dislocated my shoulder. Can I re-grow these naturally, or is surgery the only way?

Tendons and ligaments don't regrow. They can be repaired surgically. It sounds as if surgical option is on the table. If it's been suggested by an orthopedic surgeon, make sure you understand the risks and benefits of surgery before you make a decision. You don't have to have surgery but you'd better know the alternative. It's the only way you can make an informed decision.

You are going to need surgery. They aren't going to just grow back on their own they need to be reattached and then be allowed to heal in their proper places. Surgery may be scary but it's better than living with the pain of not having it done.

you will probably require surgery, tendons and ligaments don't reattach by themselves.
