If you want the right answers, you must ask the right questions.
When you say that the thing is "to prove ghosts are real", do you mean that you already have seen proof, but that this will prove it to others?
Or is this supposed to prove it to you?
You see, this makes all the difference in the world. If you have seen sufficient proof, there is no need to do any stupid thing.
If the thing will definitely prove the existence of ghosts, even to the most hardened skeptic, then it is not stupid.
HOWEVER! If the thing is not absolutely guaranteed to provide proof, then it is stupid. For example, there are things that people "feel", that they say are caused by ghosts. But these same things can be caused by any number of other factors, including imagination.

I'm afraid I would. Even if I heard the scary music I'd probably stick around to see what was up.
I also want to try skydiving, and the rides on the Stratosphere in Vegas are some of my favorites. I think I have thrill issues.

I'd do it as long as I had protection of some sort. If you know a Shaman, get some form of protective fetish from them and prove your point!!!
I'd do it in a heartbeat, especially if it would make someone else (like a total doubter) eat their words.

I know they're real, why would I care if other people believe me or not?
