What do you think of the song "White and Nerdy" by Weird Al Yankovic?

I am not white but I think this song is somewhat racist and profiling even if it's sung by a white person. I wouldn't like someone of my own kind (Latino) to be singing about how our people is rejected by everyone else, unless it's main purpose was for comedy. I don't really find this song too funny. What do you think?

Now if that song would have been about any other race there would have been this huge uproar about it and marches on Washington. If the song was "black with crack" or "mexican and dirty" oh it would have been all over the news and calling for it's removal off the airwaves and the store shelves. I for one find the song amusing and it pokes fun at the stereotypes. People should learn to lighten up its just a song.

I agree with T-Ray that if this song was about any other race there would of been huge up roar.

But the fact that its about white people apparently makes it ok, as white people are so much better off than everyone else its therefore ok to make fun of them.

But Yes it is a funny video, and song.....but I'd love if he made a song about black people now, and see what the response is, as anyone who criticizes it and not this song would prove themself to be a full-out racist.

I think in a way you are right about the "racist" thing because heaven forbid someone sing a song about being black & ghetto, but I don't think anyone really cares because Weird Al is pretty funny. But I do know what you mean about someone making a song about your own race & being angry. In this case, it's meant to be a joke & besides it's HILLARIOUS! I love that Donnie Osmond is in the back dancing. lol

well im white, and i think it is sooo funny! because in my area south dakota theres a crap load of white people who think there gangsters, and the song is very funny also!! we were singing it at work the other day and people were stairing at us wow i freakin love that song

dude its weird al. he makes a living making parodies of songs. and its not really what you'd call "racist", more like poking fun at certain stereotypes. i seriously doubt there are conservationist groups discussing how to bring down weird al over just one song.

well yeah its not funny...its HALARIOUS!!! im sry but at least someone can make fun of himself and not get offended. im hispanic too but i can take a joke unless it gets too far and that song wasnt THAT bad like others.
