Being a railfan, I rather enjoy being stopped by a train! especially when I see people getiing annoyed!

If it looks like it's going to be a long one, I turn my car off and file my nails or watch people get all crazy over having to wait. It brings out the worst in lots of people and they will even go the opposite direction if their ranting and raving does not make the train shorter.
Sometimes I count box cars and I always wave to the engineer.

If the train is a long one or at a stand still I use some colorful language and beat on the steering wheel until I get it out of my system and then I sit there and stare straight ahead like the train is not there. If I am really bored and the train is moving I count the cars.

Crank up the stereo and watch everyone around me get annoyed because they think my music is too loud.I keep my windows up but people are so
easily ticked off,I sometimes get a kick out of it.I could be revving a Harley!
People need to lighten up really.

as a trained pts, I can tell u that u should lie flat on the floor in the middle of the track or if you are near a place of refuge which should look like a semi tunnel go in and wait until the train has passed and you will be safe.

out of habit i try and count all the train cars that go by. Serioulsy, Im so lame. Or i try to decode all the graffitti on the the side of the train. =)

I check to see if the car behind me will stop. I have visions of getting bumped into the train.

I wait till all those people get of and get on and find a spot to seat down near the window side.. i like the window side..

Crank the tunes, light a smoke, pick up trash in the car. The one thing I don't do is count the cars.. That's bad luck!
