However, most of our myths and stories include imaginary beings that often stand for things that are real in people's lives. Horror movies are one example; in many cases the evil beings or cruel fates of the characters are representative of the mistakes, or flaws, or situations of the character's lives. Greek mythology, in works such as the Iliad, used the Gods and other mythological beings frequently, but oftentimes the Gods influence on a mortal was merely an indication of that person's true nature, and could actually highlight how the character decided his own fate.
Dragons have been protrayed in a large variety of folklore and have many different representations, especially between Eastern and Western culture. In modern Western society dragons are often considered evil, destructive, hoarders of treasure, and very powerful. So are there things in this world- rulers, personal motivations, societies, and other forces- that could be like dragons? The answer is yes.

Yes- the discovery channel did this huge thing on Saturday about the reality of dragons. Whether or not they exist now is a matter of personal belief, but in history, yes.

Yes, there is even a reference to dragons in the Bible...can't think of the verse, but I have read it....

some people consider the giant lizards of the Galapagos islands to be dragons.

I heard they found a dragon fossil, but other than that, they exist astrally, and that good enough for me.

Yes they are real, but cannot be perceived easily as they do not exist in this dimension but in a parallel one.

yes, they existed at the time of the dinosaurs and was wiped out along with them 65 million years ago
