Leeches are segmented worms (cousins of earthworms), most of which suck the blood of vertebrates. Some do feed upon ducks and other aquatic birds. Others prefer mammals, including humans, as a source of blood. Duck leeches usually will not be attracted to humans. What exactly are you asking? How to remove a leech from human skin? Or how to remove a leech from a duck? A leech will simply fall off once it finishes feeding. Or it can be pulled off. Or a little rubbing alcohol can be poured on it to make it detach.

Well I work around ducks, urban and wild all the time plus we have ducks, mallard

I have never heard of a Duck Leech..

The other poerson gave you a good definition of a leech...

I would think whatever you are looking for is known by a different name than Duck Leech.. ducks do not normally get leeches either.

Duck itch Ive hear of and its a parasite humans can get if they swim in infected water...

You avoid it by not hanging out in shallow water or swimming where there are larg numbers of snails or ducks... also by completely dring off when you get out.. the parasite needs the water on your skin to basically swim into pores.. and then will go under your skin and make little red itchy bumps.. it will die on its own in a few days though...

Sorry its not more help

Good Luck
