Perhaps......."I'm too sexy" by Right Said Fred? Heartbreak Hotel by Elvis? Or how bout "It's all about the Benjamins" by Puff Daddy. Which song would you send from your own list?

Something by Debussy or Ravel. Something nice. Get their minds of things, distract them, then bring it on with Cannibal Corpse full blast. The contrast, together with the element of surprise would really show 'em what our current world is like. And if I'm feeling like a real meanie that day, after the Cannibal Corpse, I'd go straight to the best of Simon and Garfunkel.

Its the end of the world as we know it.....REM....

Or Amused to death..... Roger Waters

Doctor Doctor what is wrong with me
This supermarket life is getting long
What is the heart life of a colour TV
What is the shelf life of a teenage queen
Ooh western woman
Ooh western girl
News hound sniffs the air
When Jessica Hahn goes down
He latches on to that symbol
Of detachment
Attracted by the peeling away of feeling
The Celebrity of the abused shell the belle
Ooh western woman
Ooh western girl
And the children on Melrose
Strut their stuff
Is absolute zero cold enough
And out in the valley warm and clean
The little ones sit by their TV screens
No thoughts to think
No tears to cry
All sucked dry
Down to the the very last breath
Bartender what is wrong with me
Why am I so out of breath
The captain said excuse me ma'am
This species has amused itself to death
Amused itself to death
Amused itself to death
We watched the tragedy unfold
We did as we were told
We bought and sold
It was the greatest show on earth
But then it was over
We oohed and aahed
We drove our racing cars
We ate our last few jars of caviar
And somewhere out there in the stars
A keen-eyed look-out
Spied a flickering light
Our last hurrah
And when they found our shadows
Grouped 'round the TV sets
They ran down every lead
They repeated every test
They checked out all the data on their lists
And then the alien anthropologists
Admitted they were still perplexed
But on eliminating every other reason
For our sad demise
They logged the only explanation left
This species has amused itself to death
No tears to cry
No feelings left
This species has amused itself to death
Amused itself to death

Cynical and realistic would be" "It's the End of The World As We Know It" by REM

Something touching and hopeful would be: "Imagine" by John Lennon

Guns 'n' Roses Welcome to the Jungle!!

it's got all the promise of aggression from the political situation, the disease borne of poverty, the depravity borne of having too much and being bored with life...

it's old(ish) but it appeals to the youth of today and the old people of yesterday who enjoyed it then...

i think it's an all round thing:

it's a song that says 'welcome', but it promises ready violence to any outside alien that things it might have a look in if it wants to mess with us.

either that or something by the spice girls or s club 7 (to make them go away :-)
