The new ride your talking about is Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World not Universal Studios. As for Christmas in Orlando, Disney is way better, they have beautiful decorations galore everywhere, great Christmas time parades, and MGM Studios has a breath taking display of lights "The Osborne Family Christmas Lights", definitely a must see. Universal decorates too but not like Disney and they don't really do anything special for the holidays although they do have a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for the month of November.

I wasn't to impressed with Universal parades in the past. I don't know anything about the ride you are talking about. Sorry
