iPod, The biggish white ones, like the first ones they made...I need help!!?

Question

I plugged my ipod into the computer adapter and it charged to where it was working before but I just took it off and everytime I turn it on this logo appears showing the wall charger going into the socket? What does this mean and how do I get it to go away?
Pleeeease help!

I also own the 1st Gen iPod. Try resetting it first by pressing the center button and menu button at the same time. Do this for about 3 seconds. After that, try turning it on again. Are you sure it is fully charged. Since it is a 1st Gen, the battery life may not be what it used to be. Good luck.
