Once you pick a theme for the baby's nursery, you could hang pictures & quilts on his wall, and to define his "room" you could hang a canopy over the crib, and lay down a large area rug, even if the room is already carpeted. There are a hundred different ready-made girl canopies, but for a boy, you can make one using a swatch of material roughly the size of a crib mattress and 3 dowels. Feel free to email me for a description on how.

Ive seen a lot of rooms where they share with baby.
usually they are in a corner or section of the room. Maybe paint the two walls where the crib will be near. put up a border or some decals on the wall. include a changing table and dresser or something.

then the other half of the room is still for you and your hubby.

you aren't in the same predicamita, but my baby is in my son's room and my room upstiars isn;t finished yet. I would buy wall stickers since you wouldn't want to paint a blue wall in a beige room right? My son's room is an ocean theme. I bought stickers from the dollar store and posted them all over the room and bought a border for him. I have a canopy that's pink for my daughter, since she will have our room. Once everything changes and the room upstairs is finished, which we both should get our husbands to get off their a$$e$ and get to work I would design a pastel room, with different sectons of the room. activity center, sleep room, and play time. look at better home and gardens or cottage living for children bedroom ideas.

We have our baby in our room with us as we only have one bedroom for now.
I have stuck some butterflies on the wall the ones that are made with glitter, stockings and wire. I also got her name made with wooden letters and put that on the wall. I also have hung a net over her cot it looks nice but also protects her from being bitten by mozzies.
Nice sheet sets and blankets are nice the best are the kidsline brand I thought.
