It's a logical impossibility to prove a negative, no matter what you're talking about. It's the foundation of science to prove something exists, but no one can prove that something doesn't exist....sorry.
Only persons, who do not utilize logic, will accept as true statements that are completely unsupported by factual evidence. Yet, this form of irrationality and lack of fundamental logic is the foundation of all religions. Since approximately 80 % of the world population accepts the completely unsubstantiated statements of various religions, 80 % of the world population suffers from a severely distorted and thus ineffective worldview.

It has been written that it is an impossibility to prove the non-existance of God or the Supreme being, for we would have to be dead first and then come back, in the same form as did Jesus to let us know he did exist. There is no way someone is ever going to and come back to life and tell us that they went on a search for God and he is non-exist. First of all that is nuts. No one would believe them and if they did they are nuts too. However when people have died and have been revived they have not seen God either. But they talk about a tunnel of light. Maybe God does not speak to us maybe it is all pure energy and telepathy. Those are the secrets of the Universe and we must keep an open mind, and just have faith. I guess there are some that dont believe in Jesus for that same reason , but we were not there so it is our choice to believe or not. I believe.

Hi taknev,
There is no way one can use logic to prove or disprove the existence or nonexistence of God without scope for any doubt.
Simply becuase the God is beyond all sensual perceptions and logic. It is too subtle.
So you can never prove or disprove anything about God merely by logic.
Like you need an electron microscope to see very tiny objects.
It can not be done using ordinary microscopes.
Similarly the existence of God (or even its non existence) can never be proven without the usage of tools that are subtler than human logic and sense perceptions.
When you say "prove" you are depending on this logic (and sense perceptions to support and run the logic).
So you can not prove anything either way !

This is not an answer to your question.........Why? because it is a question that has as well infinte possible answers. All of wich will vary in responses depending on who is being asked and who is answering. The more conciouness that humans achive and the more questions that they can answer the less they need to rely on possible explinations for why things happen or don't happen. For example when the scientist of long ago figured out why it rains...it eliminated the rain god. When they figured out what makes Thunder and lightening ...well there went Thor and the gang. Each level of existance we eventually arive at over the many years of being a curious species delivers us closer to total understanding of why and how we are. We will no doubt for many more mellinum have the believers and the non believers of a creator of some sort or another because it is way to hard to fathom absolute nothingness. Nothing to me is the lack of conciousness. A example for me to get this accross in as few words a possible would be. If a person blacks out (looses conciouness totally) falls and breaks thier arm or bumps thier head to the point a fracture lets say. The person when they regain conciousness and thus the sense of feelings that come with it they will then experience the discomforts of thier injuries. Unconciouness has no concept of time or space it is the perfect void or black hole. Another perfectly good example would be when your dead tired and sleep for 8 hours and then wake. You have to look at the clocks to show yourself the amount of time that has passed since you were dissasociated with reality or conciousness. Any way this is to heavy to continue. Would need volumes to finnish. With mathimatical equations we need to be concious to solve them. Unless we let the computer do it while we get some sleep. Best of luck.

A few reasons that prove god doesn't exist would be
1) The overwellming evidence of the evolution theory
2) Gods obvious lack of logic
There is a lot of evidence pointing to the evolution theory, which would cancel out god's creation of the Earth. Firstly, it is widely known to many scientists that as you go deeper into the Earth the less advanced the organsm's fosils get, showing the evolution that took place. Experiments have shown how basic chemical reactions from chemicals that were in the Earth's early atmosphere could form basic organsms that could later evolve into more advanced organsms. These would be two of the many pieces of supporting edvidence for the evolution theory.
God's appearent lack of reason seems to be an interesting argument in my opinion. If god want's the people of Earth to believe in him then why doesn't he prove himself? There are two explinations for this odd behavior:
1) God has lost him mind
2) God has lost his power
One very popular answer is could you prove god exists? Well, I'd love to see anybody try to prove that god exists outside of the mind.
I must admit the I cannot prove he doesn't exist for he seems to in the mind, at the most.

Math and God are two totally different aspects of life. I don't think they can be compared. Imaginary numbers are just a way of simplifying a math problem further. Your question can also be countered with, "How can you prove that God DOES exist?" God is just a guess of the human imagination, something that was manifested by the mind of humans. Where does God fit in the universe? Ask yourself "Why have not heard that God exists on other planets? , Why hasn't he ever done anything about other animals?" This is my opinion, hopefully it helped you.

The closest I have found to "proof" either way on the God issue is Saint Thomas Aquinas' (1225-1274) "Quinquae Viae" where he writes his five proofs supporting the existence of God. It is difficult to argue with the first 3 proofs (The Unmoved Mover, First Cause, and Necessity), especially if you do not attempt to define "God". His second two proofs (Perfection and Design) attempt to define "God", and even though the arguments are persuasive, they are inadequate. As others have mentioned it is impossible to disprove a fictitious entity, because there is no evidence to support or deny fiction. The most logical position is to put the "burden of proof" on those who support the idea of a God, and accept the fact as human beings we do not have the faculties to fully understand the universe.

I believe that god exist. If you ask some that is an atheist they always tell you prove that he does. Why does water boil? it boil due to heat being brought to the pot but where doe the heat come from? You can "boil" this question all the way down to the molecular structure and if we had the science even further. One truth remains thought "GOD". To believe that god does no exists means you have believe that everything and I mean that EVERYTHING is left up to simple chance. Well there are to many chances that have come true for us exists for it to be left up to the chaos theory. We are the the exact distance from the sun to support life, we have a large moon to regulate our climate and the tilt of the earth, we have just the right atmosphere that allows just enough UV and heat in. No to many chances to believe that it is all just random of me.

Why does it matter to you? If you believe in god then you believe in god. If not then you don't. If you are undecided, then you are probably thinking about it too hard. Sit back and relax and just think about what feels right to you. If you are wanting to find an argument to convince an athiest that he/she is wrong then why do you find their disbelief so disturbing that you have to come up with 'evidence of existence' to confront them?
One thing to think about, do you believe that werewolves are prowling the countryside. By your logic, if you cannot prove they don't exist, then they must exist. All because math is a very complex area of study.
The final answer, there is no way to prove god does not exist. There is no way to prove that god exists. It all comes down to which way your faith and beliefs take you.

I can prove it easily things like socks and shoes are always missing along with people who's bodies are never found
I think that God exist because these things leave us yet they existed before they left but now they are gone that does not prove they never existed
