Ovulation is the process in the menstrual cycle (expressed only in humans, some primates, bats,[citation needed] and shrews[citation needed]) by which a mature ovarian follicle ruptures and discharges an ovum (also known as an oocyte, female gamete, or casually, an egg) that participates in reproduction. Ovulation also occurs in the estrous cycle of other animals, which differs in many fundamental ways to the menstrual cycle.

Ovulation is when the ovary releases an egg through the fallopian tube. It is when the egg is traveling that it can become fertilized and a woman can become pregnant. The egg will travel into the uterus, fertilized or not, and either be shed with the uterine lining as a period or implant in the uterine lining and develop into a baby.
it is a woman's "fertile" time of month, mid cycle. ( a cycle starts on the first day of the period and officially ends when the next period starts)

Ovulation refers to the release of an ovum (an egg) from the ovary, which usually happens at the midpoint of a woman's menstrual cycle. (Approximately Day 14 if it is a standard 28-day cycle.)

ovulation is the process of the ovaries releasing an egg. it travels through the fallopian tubes to the uterus. it can be fertilized creating a fetus at any point of its journey. in women of childbearing age (and not on hormones or birth control) this occurs every 28 days. if the egg is not fertilized, the lining of the uterus is shed causing the woman to have her period.

That is when one of your ovaries releases an ovum (egg). You can only get pregnant once you have ovulated.
