Ovulation is when the ovary releases an egg through the fallopian tube. It is when the egg is traveling that it can become fertilized and a woman can become pregnant. The egg will travel into the uterus, fertilized or not, and either be shed with the uterine lining as a period or implant in the uterine lining and develop into a baby.
it is a woman's "fertile" time of month, mid cycle. ( a cycle starts on the first day of the period and officially ends when the next period starts)
