I'm passing out candy this year for the first time...
How should I do it- is there a way that isn't just the conventional way?
If I put on a costume, it needs to be EASY to make!

At my friends church, everybody put candy in the trunks of their cars and all the kids went from car to car to collect their candy. It's a safe alternative to Halloween.

My dear departed mother loved Halloween--she would put lots of rouge on her cheeks, wear tons of jewelry --maybe a scarf on her head, etc to answer the door for the trick or treaters. Her grandkids most fond memories are how she participated in their Halloween experience. Some can interpret it as a satanic holiday, but it is what you make of it. My mother made it a fun day. If everyone would do the same with Halloween and other such things, this world would be a much happier place. Thanks.

Well, if you like getting into the halloween spirit...you could dress yourself up to look like a dummy, then sit in a chair in front of your house during the hours of trick-or-treating, with a bowl of candy on your lap...you could sit there and pretend your not real and then scare some kids or you could just greet them with a happy halloween while they are walking up to you...you could also experiment with creepy music, jack o' lanterns lit around you, or a another dummy sitting in a chair besides you, have spooky lighting instead of your usual lights around the outside of your home....it all depends on how creative you want to be and how much time you have on your hands to get it ready...good luck and I hope you enjoy your night...Happy Halloween!!
