What hallowe'en costume can I scrape together at the last minute?

I wasn't planning on doing anything but an offer came up and now I am without costume. Any one have any ideas that would cost NO money and I could probably make using stuff around the house. Oh, and NO SEWING. Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!

i'm trying to do the same thing now....
you could try going to a store called Spirit even though it would cost a little money, but they have good stuff. or look through your old clothes or if you have some dress up clothes you played with as a kid. try using a few things from your other halloween costumes. with that stuff you should be able to put something together. if all else fails, take a plain tee shirt and write "this is my halloween costume" on it.

Here are a couple of ideas

1. A bunch of grapes...
Blow up and knot (grape color) balloons - vary the sizes. Insert safety pins into the knotted ends of the balloons. Pin the balloons onto your clothing. Put the large balloons on the shoulders and upper body, and the smaller ones in the lower areas to create the shape of a bunch of grapes. You can make a stem or leaves for your head if desired.

2. Fortune Teller...
Use lots of silk and long flowing fabrics. Your grandmother's closet might be a good place to look. Wear a head scarf, floor length skirt, shawl, hoop earrings, lots of beads, necklaces and bracelets/bangles.

This might sound pathetic, but once when I was a kid I found myself on halloween night without a costume because I couldn't make a decision. My mom got me to put on black pants, and she cut holes in a garbage bag for my legs and arms, stuffed it full of newspaper, crinkled it really cutely around my neck, and smudged some black makeup on my face. I was a bag of garbage... it turned out to be really cute. Another variation on this costume is a bag of jellybeans.. just get a clear bag and fill it with colored balloons... good luck!

Paint the letter P on a shirt or get a name tag that says P... then put black facepaint around one of your eyes and go as a "black-eyed-P" you can do the same with a blue J, the red C, queen B (crown), etc. super easy

shower curtain worn as cape
biscuits sellotaped to face = flaky skin
cord from a kettle worn as a tail

you could make that look sexy by scrapping the trousers and putting on a little skirt, and obv scrapping the beard.. and become one of santas helpers..? just a thought

White face powder black eyeliner black bin bags and some red lipstick for blood oh and black nail poilsh just add you imigination to the rest where to fix it

burglar - black and white striped top, stocking over face or black cardboard mask or face painted black mask, black bin bag with scrunched up paper in it and swag written on outside, crowbar made of rolled up paper painted black.

Sexy - cat burglar - same as above but with black tight leggings or nylons, a tail and some sexy cat ears made with cardboard on an alice band.
