Excellent topic. Especially in the penumbra of concern regarding mad cow disease, etc. Here are a few points you may want to consider:
Coming from a non-hunter's point-of-view, I now believe that hunting one's own food cannot be a healthier choice. Consider this: every hamburger you eat comes from several different animals. Usually these poor creatures are packed into stalls barely wide enough to swat a fly. The only time you know you are eating just one animal is when you are eating a steak, which is a little out of the price range for most folks.
On the other hand, wild game like elk, deer, etc., are free from corporate economic schemes designed to utilize every scrap of flesh so as to maximize profits. There won't be any danger of one animal eating the parts of another in their feed. One can grind the meat, butcher it as one would beef, and the carcass can last an entire season or more, using it in dishes normally made with beef. Deer sausage can be just as delicious as beef or pork sausage, and the ground venison can be used in chilis or other dishes that normally use hamburger. It's leaner, and healthier, and free from any hormones, steroids, or additives (provided, the forest they were shot in is not near Three Mile Island.)

I am from missouri and i think that people should stay in there own state and hunt. I am an avid hunter and have gone to other states and hunted. It is a huge hassle trying to get permits and other things to carry your gun and it is so expensive that i can only afford to every great once in a while.

Your introductory paragraph should be like a story. Start with "Imagine a place where money isn't an option.....where people crawl under bus seats looking for loose change..." Its a great way to get the feel for what you are trying to express. Its help the reader empathize with the people you are writing about. Also your ending paragraph should be a continue-on of your first paragraph. Hope this helped.

Oh, my dear. I am so sorry but I cannot endorse hunting for sport.

However, if a deer is shot and killed, and all parts of it are used for a good purpose, then that's a different story.

Killing for killing sake is animal cruelty.
