It is very possible that your baby has just begun to focus on other areas of development, like reaching for things and will go back to making sounds again soon. However, it would probably make you feel better to get a second opinion.

if the doctor seems ok with it and you still don't feel comfortable maybe you should get a second opinion. Many doctors just brush off new mothers worries and then when it is something serious it is too late to treat or to correct. Always trust your instinct.

Its probably just watching and absorbing. I think my son went through that for about a week. He's currently 5 1/2 months. Now he's cooing and talking and actually says Mama when he is crying and needs help.

Your baby is just soaking in his new environment, he's much more aware of his surroudings, and is concentrating more. Just keep on talking with him and he'll realize he should communicate with you. If you don't talk to your baby, your baby will get the hint and not talk back.

they can not make constantly make sounds she is probably just relaxing i know it gets me worried my little one who is one does that it usually means he is into something he is not supposed to be in but sometimes he quites when he is tired or just relaxing i would not worry.

he is pauing attention to his surroundings and his parents. They do that, its called "bonding" I'm serious about that parenting class, cause you seem awfully clueless.
