I use liquid eyeliner. I use a Qtip to make it a perfect line. The eyeliner I use is Artliner by Lancome in Noir, it's a bit pricey, but it stays on until you wash it off. If you want a cheaper liquid eyeliner that works almost as good try Mary Kate and Ashley liquid liner. Also, put your eyeliner on before the rest of your makeup in case you mess it up, that way you can just wash it off. Just practice.

I used to have this same exact problem! No matter what it smudged and moved around. What i started doing is created a thinner line and then smudged it afterwards on purpose. This way it looks like you meant to do it! I think it looks best if you do it about 1/3 to 1/2 across.
btw/ if you don't want a harsh look, i don't think i'd go for liquid eyeliner.

MAC Fluidliner solved my smudge problems. I am not great at applying liquid eyeliner, but this stuff is fool proof. Use an angle brush and apply it above your lash line and you can do it below for a dramatic look as well. Several makeup companies make this type of eyeliner, but I like MAC the best. Good luck!

1. Clean your face.
2. Use an eyeshadow base to prep your eyes, (also use it under your eye if you're going to put eyeshadow on all the way around your eye.)
3. Apply your eyeshadow.
4. Apply your eyeliner. I use liquid eyeliner, you have better definition and longer staying power. If you must use stick, be careful and use an angle brush to then apply an eyeshadow of a matching color over it to give it staying power. (You can also play with using other colors of eyeshadow over stick liner, you can get some great effects this way!)
5. Apply your mascara.
6. Clean up any smudges around your eye with a Q-Tip dipped in a mild eye makeup remover.
7. Look fabulous!

At lunch my eyeliner is just starting to smear. So I take a second to go to the bathroom and reapply it and make sure its all nice and neat again. I have the same problem no matter what kind I use it always smudges so just take time to go to the bathroom and clean up.

I have very sensitive eyes so i had the same problem. The only kind of eye liner i can use is Mary Kay Signature eyeliners. They are the only ones that does not smear or make my eyes water. They are very gentle and go one really smooth.

I had the same problem until I discovered Avon's Perfect wear liquid eye liner pen. It's wonderful it dries fast and it won't smudge or budge! Only $7.00!

The think I do is i apply the eyeliner, then i apply mascara on the bottom eyelashes and that keeps it in place somehow. I use mary kate and ashley brand eyeliner and covergirl mascara. it's inexpensive stuff but it works well.
hope this helps :)

a way to make use of smudging is to use "crayon" when it smudges, it gives you a smokey eyes look.
