As a person goes through life crises and events a personality changes. A person would have to live in a vacuum to not be affected in someway by the events that they participate in. A outgoing person who experiences a great deal of tragedy may become quiet and introspective. An individual who is shy as a child may become outgoing and gregarious as they become to participate in more activities during school and their esteem increases. Hope this helps.

I think that your personality can change over time the only thing that doesn't change is being your self. When you grow up you start seeing things differently and this changes your view of it so you change your personality by looking at things differently. In other words yes your personality does change.

I believe it can. Because you are molded by the experiences you have in life, both positive and negative. And those experiences can shape the way you think, feel, act, and react - from the most extreme ways to the very minute ways. You may not change at the very base of your personality - the foundation of who you are - but there are many aspects that can change, depending on what life deals you.

Yes I am told it sure can!!
I got into a accent a head injury, many people have told me that my personality has changed. One of my friends (the only Online friend who stuck with me through all this) had to call the house so she could make sure it was me she was talking too!
So yes a persons personality can change, but what extent does one wants to go to to change there personality?

I believe certain aspects of your personality can alter. As you progress and learn more about yourself you learn to change some things that could affect your personality in some sort of way.

Anyone can change their personality. You can change anything you want to about yourself. It's always nice to make the negative better.

I think it not true that it stays the same. When I was 13-15 I was a trouble maker, didn't care about life and I was always angry and crying all the time. I hated people by the way they looked or if they where "preppy" and other awful things. Now I'm 17 and I have a different outlook on life and the people around me and I'm not mutilating myself physically and mentally.I don't judge others, I don't hate people as I used to. I am a happy person with a happy life. I believe people change, everyone's personality is what they want it to be and I want mine to be the best that it can be.

Yes, it can. Especially if you have a personality "disorder". Some people change more abruptly than others, especially with medications.
