Me and my friends kind of have an idea of what were doing, but its been the same for the last 3 years. We trick-or-treat for an hour than go to someone's house and play poker for the candy while watching a scary movie(s).

Oh and anything illegal is out of the question because if we get caught it screws us double because we're honor students.

if it aint broke, dont fix it. sounds like a good time to me, and the beginning of what could be a lifelong tradition.

Get a fog machine and some strobe lights. Then toss a glow-in-the-dark ball around. The effect is wild and my kids loved it!
I also make some cool food. How about Monster Hand Punch? Take a rubber glove and fill with green koolaid (or whatever). Freeze it before the party, and then float it in red koolaid. It starts out scary looking and as it melts, the punch changes color and it's pretty neat.

Trick-or-treat for an hour or so. Why don't you guys have a party? You can make all kinds of cool decorations, have stuff like bobbing for apples, dancing (monster mash, thriller, etc.), food, NON-alcoholic punch (since you are in middle school :) ), carve pumpkins. Just some thoughts.

go and throw a party on halloween night. all of your friends and you will go trick-or-treating. then you go home and watch scary movie. lol. then you have a totally scary sleepover and then you stay up all night telling scary stories. ooooooo!!!.....spooky!!....oh and do a Witch's Brew. first you put dry ice in a pot then you just go crazy with fruit and whatever you want to put in there. example: pinnaple, fruit punch, etc. and then you mix it all up and pour in to in cups. enjoy!

we always went and toilet papered someones well manicured lawn and maybe threw` some eggs at passing motorists
