Philip Fulmer?? You can't be serious. He is not even close to either Bowden or Paterno.

Since you never indicated whether it was major college football or just plain college football, than the answer is John Gagliardi of St John's University whose victories dwarf those of either Bowden or Paterno.

I don't know if these people are just offering opinions or they really dont have a clue, but the stastical answer is: of active coaches who have coached 10 years or more, It's Tennessee's Phil Fulmer with a .779 winning percentage

(Bobby Bowden's is .772)

People can argue this statistic but it used during commentary for NCAA games all the time and can be found @ ncaa.org. Bowden has technically won more games but he has been around for 4 times as long as Fulmer.

As a resident of Knoxville, this statistic is a celebrated fact here and I've never heard anyone who knows Division 1 football argue it.
