I'm no longer certain that catching two a 12 months way they're honestly residing to your attic. That's since I had a condo that bats periodically entered, however I ultimately observed a place they have been coming in via (this used to be a condo with a 26' tall ceiling, and it used to be up above a log on the very best in a complex to uncover position). After I sealed the gap, I in no way noticed one more bat within the condo. However, you could fairly have bats residing on this inaccessible area, too. If you realize in which they are coming into, you'll tack a work of plastic hen netting up so it hangs loosely over the gap. That means, any bats which can be within can get away (they consider the netting and drop right down to get out), however they can not uncover their long ago within (getting tangled within the webbing as a substitute).

You can get a bat house (like a bird house) but when you buy it and when you hang it do not touch it with your hands. They detect the scent and will not stay there. Therefore if you want to get rid of the bats, I would spray some perfume or soak a towel in Downy and put it in the attic and they will no longer stay in the attic and will no longer come into your home.
BUT>>>>>They do eat mosquitoes so you might see an abundance of them if you completely shut out the bats. I would opt for the bat house----and hang it high in a tree.

Are you sure you want to get rid of them? I have one that hangs around. Haven't seen a mosquito this year.

Throw a towel up....they'll get tangled in it. Then, just throw the towel (and bat) outside.

At least keep them thru Halloween.

I heard they make great pets.
