I was looking at laundry bags, pillowcases, but need some sort of drawstring that I could make out of it. I am not that handy with sewing so it would needs to be easy to make. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I would buy a green pillowcase, or dye a white one to the color you want. Like the answer above, don't even worry about the drawstring - just gather the top and secure with a rubber band, then tie a big xmas ribbon around it.

You probably can find a laundry bag with a drawstring. You might want to make it more festive by taping or stapling bows on, which requires very little craft skill.

If a pillow case is closer to the size you need, use an old pillowcase. Add a drawstring by cutting small holes inside the hemmed edge and threading a drawstring through. Purchase at a fabric store about 2 yards of cord for the drawstring (the sales person can help you find the right kind of cord for this). Put a safety pin through one end of the cord and insert that into the pillow case hem through the small hole you made. You can feel the safety pin through the fabric and guide it to the position you want.

If you really have no sewing skills, a pillow case would do. Where the hem is on the case make 2 small slits through only ONE layer of the fabrics, about 3-4"s apart. Slide a piece of waxed paper through the slits, between the 2 layers. Get some fabric glue at the craft store. Squeeze a line of glue around the slits ( sort of making a button hole ). Wait for the glue to dry, remove the wax paper, attach a large safety pin to the end of your drawstring and thread it through the hem. Remove the pin and tie a tassel to each end, so the drawstring won't pull out. Get some iron ons of holly or candy canes to dress it up.

What if, still use the pillow case or laundry bag and gather up the top with your hands and put a large piece of christmas ribbon around it and tie it in a great bow. Of course if it's a plain bag you could use some fabric paints to "dress it up" with christmas trees, stars lolly canes or whatever. On the other hand you may be able to purchase a christmas pillow case and tie it up with a bow.
