It's going to get phased out over a period of years. Since you are lazy, I'll look it up for you and get back later.
Actually, they changed their minds again. Now they are going to do a energy study, and if they want to, they will revert back to the 2005 dates.

No, it's not true. However there will be changes to Daylight Savings time.
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 states that DST will be extended by four weeks.
Right now we set our clocks forward on the first Sunday of April and backward on the last Sunday of October.
However, next year we will set our clocks forward on the Second Sunday of March and set backwards on the first Sunday in November. They are going to see if this actually saves energy and Congress has authorized a study on it.
What does this mean? Computers and other electronics won't recognize it so we have to fix it manually ourselves if a patch isn't already available by then.

No, we are still using daylight savings time. It's just been that daylight savings time has now been changed from starting the first Sun. in April and ending the last Sun. in Oct. to beginning the second Sun. in March and ending the first Sun. in November.
Unless, of course, you live in a state that ignores daylight savings time.

Yes, thats the rumor, don't know when it will go into effect, 2007 daylight saving will begin the 2nd Sunday in March and end the 1st Sunday in November. Guess they want to give it an extention to see how it will work.out Originally they wanted to do away with it to save energy, and so the kids weren't out waiting for the bus in the dark for school and so on.

Next year, Daylight savings time will be extended until November, and start in February. Congress enacted that bill last year.

Not that we won't be using it anymore. I've only heard that it will be starting earlier and ending later I believe.

I wish that would happen, but it wouldn't.
They are just going change it earlier in March and later in November from next year.
