Why do people not use spell check on Yahoo Answers? It drives me nuts!!

Probably because it takes a minute or so. They figure that you can decipher what they are trying to say even if it's misspelled.

I've actually never used it, but I tend to be pretty precise, and I always proofread before I hit "send." On the occasions I've missed something (juxtaposition of letters, or whatnot), I use "Edit" to correct it if I notice. I'm very particular about that sort of thing. I've never really paid attention to the spell checker, though.
I think most people are just in a rush to be the first to answer; oftentimes with simple answers, the first to answer correctly is the one to get the ten points, regardless of how well-thought-out the other answers may be.

I guess some people just don't feel the need. Maybe they think that everyone should be able to read their "shorthand".
Yahoo Spell Check is NOT foolproof, but I've found it very helpful, just the same.

i don't know, but i try to use it because sometimes i think i know the spelling and i am usually wrong.
